Are there any recommendations for how to manage employees who are working on multiple projects in any given day?
Are you tracking hours for a particular reason? Charging customers by the hour, tracking project hours, etc.?

My full-time employees work on multiple projects, so I would like to track the hours that they work, and the hours that they work on each project in any given day.

Check with your payroll partner. I think I recall seeing a product by ADP where employees can input their hours in any given day by specific departments or projects. Whoever you use for payroll might have a similar solution. Remember it probably is not customizable but at least a good start.

If you're looking for a cheap (free!) method of tracking time, try google docs. You can create your own spreadsheet and share it with each employee that needs to track time. The employee can edit his/her hours and you can view it whenever you want. We've used it in the past and it's worked well for us!
