"Terminating and Responsibility"

If I am planning to terminate someone at the end of a certain week, is it right to still give them responsibilities? Or should I slowly remove them from their projects?

Doesn't seem right to give responsibilities to someone you are going to terminate. I would have them do the very basics and not give them any major responsibility. Also, it is always my opinion to exit someone sooner than later if you have already made the decision to terminate them. You can exit them from your business and still pay them through the time you were originally planning. That way everyone in your organization can move forward.
