I read an interesting post on another site this morning, MCI Classics. An ex-employee contrasted the leadership styles of the inspirational Founder, who had him make some signs one day for all their office that read ... "make some mistakes." His contrast was years later with the then CEO, now in jail, who flew him to HQ on their corporate jet to yell at him for overspending $300 on a line item of a meeting event that was overall under budget. The message for us at smaller companies, urge people to action. Positive energy is an important part of HR, in addition to all the critical compliance issues.
