Is it really necessary to try and find the Facebook pages or Twitter accounts of possible new hires? Though it is a public social network, is it an invasion of their privacy? Similarly, if I were to find a couple rowdy pictures on Facebook after interviewing a candidate, I think my opinion would be skewed. Is this fair? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
This is a good one...Yes I think employers have the right to pass character judgment on anyone they are hiring. After all, that person will become a representative of the company.
