A Marine Corps review board has recommended a "Less-Than-Honorable" Discharge for a Fort Pendleton Marine who posted on Facebook that he would not follow orders from President Obama. Is this fair? Should this Marine be "fired" like the Illinois teacher who was terminated for posting that she felt like she was "teaching our next generation of criminals"? Possibly having a well-communicated Social Media Policy in place may help prevent these issues; one where it is clear that posts that impair an employee's ability to perform their job effectively are not acceptable and may result in termination. What do you think?
