I believe in hiring someone who sought my company out through heavy research and interest. Is it a bad thing that many universities now have job boards where students can log on, upload their resume, and instantly have 5 interviews the following week? I refuse to put job postings on these job boards, but my colleagues claim there is so much talent we aren't seeing. Should I follow the crowd?
I found this posting on the Wall Street Journal. It may be of value to you: http://on.wsj.com/hv7qVE Honestly, posting positions on a job board is based on personal preference. There are good candidates everywhere, but this posting explains probably what your colleagues believe. Good luck!
